The Effects of Farming Development on Agricultural Education with a Highlight on Central-Eastern Europe

Abstract

The educational system has changed in the transition period in the CEE countries. There is not common pattern to use in the agricultural education in every country. The CEE countries started the changes from different base and different kind of development ways. In the last 2-3 years the weight is more on the quality of the teaching, curriculum development according to the market needs, sustainable agricultural production and rural development, and education for self- employment. In the CEEC the attitude of teaching staff has changed a lot in the last decade. By the autonomy of the educational organisations (secondary schools, colleges, universities) the government does not tell what to learn, but trying to give information how is the future need is changing. The education is trying to fulfil the governmental and the individual demand as well. The changes are in the direction to process of developing of personality. The attitude of agricultural education in the CEE Countries starts to follow the principles of education. The education system provides time for the students to develop their activities, to recognise what is the problem and deaf with the problem.
