Kynoman" Leading Edge Computer Technology Differenciating Fertilizer to be "Field Exact" and "Ratematched

Abstract

Fertilization in the sugar industry has entered a new era with the introduction of services that will enable growers to precisely match field crop nutrient requirements to the best technically optimized agronomic advice available. The “Kynoman” fertilizer optimization computer programme is leading edge technology developed in conjunction with and backed by the Sugar Experiment Station (SASEX). “Kynoman” enables farmers to base fertilizer recommendations on fertilizer response curves according to specific climate, soil, financial and risk perceptions. One is able to source at best cost the ideal blend for each individual field namely, “Field Exact Blends”. This implies precision fertilizing and maximizing profits through preventing over or under applications of NPK nutrients. To solve a further management problem of having to recalibrate applicators for the different blends, the “Field Exact Blends” can be formulated to be “Ratematched” “Ratematching” provides the grower with any number of different blends at the same application rate per hectare This helps to make the fertilization process hassle-free. “Kynoman” provides recommendations which are “Field Exact” and can be “Ratematched” to achieve not only the best performance possible from the fertiliser, but also the best value
