Abstract
Nitrogen rates ranging from 0, 30,60, 90, 120 to 150 kg/ha were tested, and noninoculated and inoculated seed was compared The greatest number of nodules was obtained by nitrogen application of 60 kg N/ha which was 12.8 and 9.3 respectively, for the noninoculated seed, and 46.3 and 48.5 per plant for inoculated seed The height of the first pod level following the treatment of 150 kg N/ha was 16.7 cm for the noninoculated seed and 14.9 cm for inoculated seed The highest weigh of 1000 grains following the treatment of 60 kg N/ha was 174.9 gr for the noninoculated seed and 216.6 gr for inoculated seed. Noninoculated seed produced the highest yield of 2224 kg/ha following the treatment of 150 kg N/ha, while inoculated seed produced 2582 kg/ha following the treatment of 60 kg N/ha Nitrogen gave the highest number of nodules with 60 kg N/ha (29.55 and 28.90 respectively). The highest of the first pod level was the highest following the treatment of 150 kg N/ha (15.8 cm). Also, weight of 1000 grains was the highest following the treatment of 60 kg N/ha (189.55 gr). The highest grain yield was achieved with 150 kg N/ha (2305 kg/ha). Inoculated seed in relation to inoculated seed gave a greater number of nodules for 17.87 cm and 20.95 respectively, height of the first pod level was decreasedfor 1.75 cm, weight of 1000 grains was increased for 24.67 gr, and grain yield was increasedfor 504 kg/ha.
