Albanian Agriculture: An Overview

Abstract

This paper presents current the situation of the Albanian agriculture stressing the results of the on-going economic reforms aimed at moving from the ex-command agricultural economy towards a market one. There are different issues related to this transformation as well as a lot of difficulties facing the country. Establishing an adequate strategy with clear priorities is of paramount importance to primarily orient the transformation of production as well as the right economic policies which will lead to the sustainable growth of agriculture.
