Abstract

Target MOTAD is used to determine optimum farm cropping systems for a high risk farming area in the Northern Great Plains. Results indicate that maximum income with low negative deviations from minimum income needs can be obtained through less summer fallowing, diversification into new crops for the area, and notill technology for winter wheat.
