Abstract

The paper presents results of research on the impact of subsidies under CAP mechanisms on a change in the potential and results of agricultural holdings in Poland, production and economic effects of enhanced animal welfare norms and the issue of food losses and food waste. Chapters: The Common Agricultural Policy in the view of economic sustainability of agricultural holdings. Externalities of animal production in the context of production and economic results of farms on the example of dairy cattle welfare. Scale of food losses and food waste in the world and in Poland.
