Sociallab – Nutztierhaltung Im Spiegel Der Gesellschaft

Abstract

Kritische Diskussionen und Berichte rund um das Thema Nutztierhaltung gibt es seit Jahren und es zeigt sich eine zunehmende Diskrepanz zwischen gesellschaftlichen Wunschvorstellungen und der aktuellen Wahrnehmung (Zander et al., 2013). Tierwohl und die ethische Bewertung der Tierhaltung rücken dabei immer stärker in den Fokus der Öffentlichkeit. Dabei liegen die Positionen von Verbrauchern, Tierschützern, Journalisten und Landwirten meist weit auseinander. Mit dem Projekt „SocialLab – Nutztierhaltung im Spiegel der Gesellschaft“ soll die Kluft zwischen den Akteuren ergründet und reduziert werden. Untersucht werden dabei die landwirtschaftlichen Nutztierarten Schwein, Rind und Geflügel mittels eines breit gefächerten, interdisziplinären Methodenspektrums.
