Demographischer Wandel, Öffentliche Daseinsvorsorge und Landwirtschaft in peripher-ländlichen Räumen: Ergebnisse einer Befragung in der Altmark, Sachsen-Anhalt

Abstract

Viele Regionen - besonders in Ostdeutschland - werden durch sinkende Geburtenraten und selektive Abwanderung geprägt. Viele Kommunen sind nicht mehr in der Lage, ihren gesetzlichen Verpflichtungen bei der öffentlichen Daseinsvorsorge nachzukommen. Entgegen dem allgemeinen Trend nimmt die Bedeutung der Landwirtschaft in peripher-ländlichen Räumen stetig zu. Im Rahmen einer Erhebung in der Region Altmark wurde untersucht, ob landwirtschaftliche Betriebe Probleme haben, ausreichend Arbeitskräfte zu rekrutieren. Zusätzlich wurde die Frage analysiert, ob landwirtschaftliche Betriebe Willens bzw. auch wirtschaftlich in der Lage sind, Maßnahmen der öffentlichen Daseinsvorsorge in ländlichen Regionen zu leisten.
