Der Nordwestdeutsche Viehhandel In Zeiten Zunehmender Interna-Tionalisierung – Situation Und Wettbewerbsfähigkeit

Abstract

Der grenzüberschreitende Handel mit Schlacht- und Nutzvieh ist in den vergangenen Jahren erheblich ausgebaut worden. Vor allem die Handelsströme zwischen der nordwestdeutschen Veredelungsregion sowie den Niederlanden und Dänemark sind stark angeschwollen. Auffäl-lig ist, dass der nordwestdeutsche Viehhandel, der national eine wichtige Rolle in der Fleisch-wirtschaft spielt, an dieser Entwicklung kaum partizipiert. Vor diesem Hintergrund ist es das Ziel dieses Beitrags, gestützt auf empirische Untersuchungen von Viehhandelsunternehmen strukturelle, personalwirtschaftliche sowie weitere Gründe für die offenbar geringe Wettbewerbsfähigkeit des deutschen Viehhandel im grenzüberschreitenden Handel mit Schlacht- und Nutzvieh aufzudecken. Auf der Grundlage der empirischen Befunde werden Handlungsempfehlungen zur Verbesserung der Wettbewerbsfähigkeit des deutschen Viehhandels abgeleitet.
