ANGEBOTSPOTENZIALE DER LANDWIRTSCHAFT IN EUROPA ZUR SICHERUNG DER NAHRUNGSMITTELPRODUKTION UND IHR POTENZIELLER BEITRAG ZU ERNEURBAREN ENERGIEN (German)

Abstract

In diesem Beitrag wird untersucht, inwiefern die Landwirtschaft der EU-27 Energie aus erneuerbaren Energieträgern bei gleichzeitiger Gewährleistung der Selbstversorgung mit Nahrungsmitteln bereitstellen kann. Hierzu werden Veränderungen im Nahrungsmittelverbrauch, der Ertrags- und Leistungssteigerungen in der Produktion sowie der Flächenentwicklung und des Abbaus von Exportüberschüssen berücksichtigt. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass die Landwirtschaft einen beachtlichen Energiebeitrag zum geplanten EU-Ziel 2020 (Anteil erneuerbarer Energien am Primärenergieverbrauch: 20%) leisten kann. In der EU-27 könnten allein 36% der erneuerbaren Energien durch die landwirtschaftliche Pflanzenproduktion gedeckt werden. Allerdings sind es nur wenige EU-Mitgliedsstaaten, die dieses Potenzial bereitstellen und nationale Energiezielvorgaben erreichen können.
