Abstract

Los productos agrícolas son uno de los ejes más importantes de las economías globales y nacionales, por lo que la agricultura ecuatoriana enfrenta grandes desafíos y oportunidades, teniendo en cuenta que el pequeño y mediano productor se encuentra en absoluta desventaja e inferioridad de condiciones en relación a muchos países de la región y del mundo, y de los grandes productores nacionales. Esta realidad obliga al sector productor a innovar en la tecnología y en la reconversión de su estructura para poder lograr la seguridad agroalimentaria, y con los excedentes insertarse con éxito en los mercados internacionales.
