INTERFERENCIA DE MALEZAS EN YAUTIA (.Xanthosoma spp)

Abstract

Un experimento de campo se estableciô en la Estaciôn Experimental Agricola de Isabela. Los objetivos de este estudio fiieron determinar la relaciôn entre el crecimiento y rendimiento de la yautia (Xanthosoma spp.) y la interferencia por las malezas. Las malezas se dejaron interferir con la yautia por 0, 3, 5, 7, 11, 15, 17 y 40 semanas después de la siembra. El peso seco de la hoja se redujo linealmente dos gramos/m2 por cada semana de interferencia. La relaciôn entre peso fresco del cormo fiie cuadrâtica. La interferencia de malezas de 0 a 40 semanas después de la siembra (SDS) redujo el peso del cormo desde 1006 a 166 g/m2. Al igual que para el cormo, la relaciôn entre peso fresco del cormelo y los intérvalos de interferencia resultô cuadrâtica. La interferencia de malezas de 0 a 40 SDS redujo el peso del cormelo desde 713 to 1 g/m2. La reducciôn en rendimiento asociada con la interferencia de malezas fùe 33% cuando las malezas interfirieron por 5 semanas después de la siembra.
