Abstract

Different levels of fertilization with N and K20 were evaluated (0:0; 2:5; 4:10 and 8:20 g/plant) to determine the effects on yield and quality of Ananas comosus L. var. *Smooth Cayene'. This study was conducted in the central jungle region of Peru. A significant increase of fruits average weight was observed. Total yield (TM/Ha) increased significantly with the application of N and K20. These fertilization levels also determined differences in fruit quality. It was observed that increased levels of fertilization significantly increased "D" leaf size.
