Abstract

Les resultats scolaires des eleves recevant des repas a lecole sont restes faibles. Le programme de cantines scolaires na pas du tout ete efficace pour les eleves des ecoles publiques, tandis que les eleves des ecoles privees nont guere ameliore leurs resultats scolaires. Le programme dalimentation scolaire ne peut pas atteindre son efficacite en termes de reussite scolaire dans un contexte socio-economique faible et dans le cas dune education de faible qualite. Pour que le programme dalimentation scolaire ameliore les resultats scolaires, les approches politiques suivantes sont fondamentales Renforcer la formation des enseignants dans les ecoles primaires publiques Doter les ecoles primaires publiques dinfrastructures scolaires adequates Assurer lefficacite des politiques de developpement sur le niveau de vie des menages Donner la priorite au programme pour les eleves vivant dans des situations socio-economiques defavorables ou dans des menages a faibles revenus.
