Rapport sur la Strategie d'Amelioration des Donnees Socio-economiques sur les Terres Burkina Faso

Abstract

La gouvernance fonciere est un facteur important dans le processus de decision en matiere d'investissement, car une utilisation efficace et equitable des terres est importante pour la creation d'emplois, la competitivite, la resilience et la stabilite. L'importance de la politique fonciere pour le developpement durable est de plus en plus reconnue et le Nouveau Partenariat pour le Developpement de l'Afrique (NEPAD) a entrepris un programme de gouvernance fonciere (LGP) afin d'aider les pays membres a integrer les questions de gouvernance fonciere dans les plans et strategies sectoriels. Pour ce faire, un consortium de consultants (RCMRD, Centre de surveillance ecologique/Initiative de prospective agricole rurale (CSE/IPAR) et le Consortium pour la Recherche Economique en Afrique (CREA)) a ete mandate pour collecter des donnees administratives, socio-economiques et spatiales sur les terres afin d'eclairer la conception et la mise en oeuvre des politiques dans 10 pays africains, a savoir le Benin, le Burkina Faso, le Botswana, le Cameroun, l'Ethiopie, le Ghana, Madagascar, le Mali, la Namibie et l'Ouganda. Le CREA a ete mandate pour collecter des donnees socio-economiques et produire des preuves afin de mieux comprendre, aux niveaux national et continental, le role de la gouvernance fonciere pour la transformation structurelle, le developpement durable et l'adaptation au changement climatique en Afrique, ainsi que les opportunites d'investissement dans le secteur foncier.
