Abstract

Este é um estudo do grupo Ipiranga, grande empresa nacional e familiar. Buscamos aqui caracterizar as razões que permitiram a este grupo se expandir, saindo de uma posição localizada essencialmente no Rio Grande do Sul para se consolidar no mercado brasileiro de distribuição de petróleo, dominado por grandes empresas multinacionais, mantendo sua condição de empresa familiar.
