Abstract

Eine nachhaltige Siedlungs- und Wohnungsmarktentwicklung stellt - insbesondere für wachsende Stadtregionen - eine Herausforderung dar. Das Beispiel Zürich zeigt, wie ambitionierte Nachhaltigkeitsziele verfolgt werden können. Unter der Maßgabe einer 2000-Watt-Gesellschaft, die anstrebt, den Energieverbrauch bis 2050 auf 2.000 Watt Dauerleistung und den CO2-Ausstoß auf eine Tonne pro Person und Jahr zu senken, sind die Wohnungsbaugenossenschaften maßgebliche Akteure im Bereich Siedlung und Gebäude. Ein Good-Practice-Beispiel ist die Baugenossenschaft "mehr als wohnen" mit dem Wohnungsbauprojekt Hunziker Areal. Die 2000-Watt-Areal-Zertifizierung und der World Habitat Award weisen auf die hohe Qualität des Projekts hin. Das Fallbeispiel zeigt, dass die Züricher Wohnungsbaugenossenschaften die Rolle als Pioniere des Wandels für eine nachhaltige Transformation übernehmen. Sie stehen dabei im engen Austausch mit Stadtpolitik und Verwaltung.
