Abstract

Ein Rückblick auf Konzeption und Ergebnisse der empirischen Studie 'Neue multilokale Haushaltstypen' von 2006-2008 reflektiert diese als anfängliche und frühe Erkundungen eines zu strukturierenden Forschungsfeldes und verortet sie methodologisch in der Startphase der Multilocality Studies. Haushalte erwiesen sich als anhaltend relevante Untersuchungseinheiten im Kontext gesellschaftlicher Transformationen, an denen sie als mobile Gemeinschaften aktiv teilnehmen. Als sozialer Sinn dieser komplexen Arrangements erwiesen sich ihre Vermittlungen zwischen individuellen und gesellschaftlichen Chancen und Restriktionen. Anfangs war als Ergebnis die Ermittlung empirisch begründeter Muster mehrörtiger Haushaltsführungen in kontemporären modernen Gesellschaften als distinktive Typen avisiert. Darüber hinausgehend konnten die Daten zu einer Typologie formiert werden.. Diese stellte (auch reversible) Sequenzen zwischen Uni- und Multilokalität der Lebensführung dar.
