Abstract

Das Positionspapier greift die Fragestellungen auf, die von den Mitgliedern des Arbeitskreises im Zusammenhang mit den "Räumlichen Auswirkungen internationaler Migration" als fundamentale Herausforderungen für Wissenschaft, Praxis und Politik erachtet werden. Zunächst wird das mit der internationalen Migration eng verknüpfte Thema "Integration" aus verschiedenen Perspektiven in Bezug auf konzeptionelle Überlegungen sowie Stadtentwicklungspolitik diskutiert. Es folgen Aussagen zu Aspekten wie Multidirektionalität internationaler Migration, Diversität, Umgang mit räumlicher Konzentration und ungleicher kleinräumiger Verteilung der Bevölkerung mit Migrationshintergrund und die Betrachtung von Integration als ganzheitlicher und an Diversität orientierter Aufgabe. Die jeweiligen Ausführungen schließen Handlungsempfehlungen für Wissenschaft, Praxis und Politik ein.
