Bleiben oder gehen? Migrantenviertel als Wohnstandorte türkeistämmiger Eigentümer

Abstract

Im Mittelpunkt des Artikels stehen die Wohnstandortentscheidungen türkeistämmiger Eigentümer(innen) der zweiten Generation. Die Studie fragt nach den Motiven und Rahmenbedingungen, die entweder zu einem Verbleib der Eigentümer(innen) in Migrantenvierteln oder aber zu ihrem Fortzug führen. Die Grundlage der Analyse bilden quantitative Datengrundlagen und qualitative Interviews mit Eigentümerhaushalten in Stadtteilen Duisburgs mit hohem sowie niedrigem Migrantenanteil. Ergebnis der Studie ist, dass die Standortentscheidungen der eigentumsbildenden Haushalte maßgeblich durch drei verschiedene Entscheidungsdimensionen geprägt werden: die Investitionsstrategie der Eigentümer(innen), die Form ihrer Familienorientierung sowie ihre soziale Positionierung.
