Abstract

Thema dieses Beitrags ist die räumliche Energieplanung, wie sie in einigen Schweizer Kantonen und Kommunen als Form formeller Energiefachplanung aufgestellt wird und die sich nicht zuletzt durch die Verankerung als formelles Planungsinstrument von informellen Energiekonzepten in Deutschland unterscheidet. Die Hauptanliegen dieses Instruments sind die Planung der zukünftigen städtischen Wärmeversorgung mit möglichst hohem Einsatz erneuerbarer Energien und Abwärme sowie die bessere Koordination zwischen Energieversorgung und Stadtentwicklung. Ziel dieses Beitrags ist die Formulierung von Hypothesen zu Chancen, die dieses Planungsinstrument eröffnet, aber auch zu möglichen Grenzen in dem kleinteiligen und von vielen Akteuren geprägten Infrastruktursektor der Wärmeversorgung.
