Utjecaj rizika zemlje na izravne strane investicije

Abstract

Obujam stranih izravnih investicija dramatično se povećao u proteklih nekoliko godina. Takvi priljevi kapitala znatno su utjecali na gospodarstva zemalja, te u mnogim slučajevima utjecali na ekonomski rast. Jedan broj zemalja imao je više uspjeha u privlačenju inozemnoga poduzetničkog kapitala od drugih. Postavlja se pitanje zbog čega i koji su najznačajniji čimbenici koje ulagači uzimaju u obzir prilikom izbora inozemne lokacije u koju će investirati. U izvještajima vodećih svjetskih institucija vezanih za investicije rizik zemlje predstavlja važnu komponentu. Samim tim sve je veća potreba za provođenje sve većeg broja istraživanja o samom pojmu, kao i njegovim glavnim odrednicama. S druge strane, javlja se i potreba za samostalnom i transparentnom procjenom rizika zemlje koja je potaknuta i nedavnim spoznajama da su kreditni rejtinzi izdani od strane rejting agencija osmišljeni kako bi prvenstveno poticali kapitalne tokove, a ne kao što bi trebali, pružali kontrolu rizika.
