Strategija financiranja fiskalnih i vanjskih neravnoteža tijekom dužničke krize u eurozoni

Abstract

Financijska i ekonomska kriza koja je započela u Sjedinjenim Američkim Državama nije bila uzrok, već samo okidač dužničke krize u eurozoni. Pritisnute negativnim gospodarskim kretanjima i visokim razinama duga koje su godinama bivale akumulirane konstantnim defi citima na tekućem računu platne bilance, pojedine zemlje eurozone suočile su se s otežanom mogućnošću vraćanja preuzetih inozemnih obveza. Na vidjelo su tada izašli duboki strukturni problemi i ozbiljne manjkavosti monetarne unije u Europi. U ovom radu istražuju se uzroci i posljedice aktualne dužničke krize u eurozoni kroz prizmu kretanja salda tekućeg računa platne bilance u odabranim zemljama Europske unije i u Hrvatskoj te se analiziraju implikacije takvih kretanja na razvojnu strategiju malog otvorenog gospodarstva.
