Abstract

As hubs of global financial activity, global financial centres are invariably situated within highly interconnected global cities. Indeed, the latest iteration of the Global Financial Centres Index (GFCI) shows that the vast majority of the world’s most competitive financial centres are situated within major global cities. Singapore is currently ranked third on the GFCI, lagging behind only London and New York, who are placed first and second respectively…
