Abstract

This chapter provides an exploration of female entrepreneurs in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) with a particular focus on the UAE’s entrepreneurship ecosystem. Based on a comprehensive review of published literature sources in December 2021, the findings highlight numerous opportunities and supporting mechanisms that have been instrumental in successfully accelerating the quantity and quality of startup enterprises across the Emirates. This chapter also highlights the success stories of UAE-based female entrepreneurs. The implications of this chapter are for academics, policymakers, business support agencies, and entrepreneurship practitioners.
