Abstract

The chapter analyzes the consequences of the COVID-19 crisis, which affected the development of the world economy and integration processes, specifically on the integration of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). We used the data presented in the analytical report of the International Monetary Fund Prospects for the development of the world economy (WEO). During the research, we applied empirical (observation and comparison) and theoretical (analysis and synthesis), and formal-logical research methods (induction). The authors formulated the tasks and objectives of the research. The authors concluded that the development and achievement of sustainable development goals in the EAEU space proceed under economic uncertainty and geopolitical transformation conditions. Nevertheless, its further strengthening and prosperity are facilitated by the aspiration, common goals, values, and guidelines of the heads of state and observers, which influence the effective development of the Union.
