Abstract

Learning is a process in which we acquire some new information that we can later use in new situations. There are several different learning styles; auditory, visual and mobile. Only few learners accept new knowledge in one way. Teachers are constantly trying to use all the senses in the learning process. In the fifth grade, at the subject society pupils get introduced with the overview of history. Since this is a very challenging topic for students, we created a timeline with them. We have attached pictures of the most important objects, events and people of each period to the timeline. With the help of the timeline, students strengthened their knowledge of historical periods. Describing, reading, listening, observing pictures, sorting... All these learning modes allow pupils the best possible understanding of the selected content. In the paper I will present various options of consolidating the chosen topic.
