Approaches to Inspiration – Similarities and Differences – A Holistic Review of Inspiration Economy Forums Papers

As the world is trying to discover what would be the shape of the highly needed next economy, this study comes to explore the possibility of a framework that would holistically address the different inspiration driven approaches by researchers and authors. With the development of humanity and fast rhythm of a knowledge based economy; inspiration is becoming more essential factor for the development of any socio-economy. The study of similarities and differences in how inspiration is approached is still in its infancy, especially if we see the work of Thrash and Elliot (2010, 2004, 2003) and the comprehensive review of inspiration approaches in the Handbook of Inspiration Economy by Buheji and Thomas (2016). The review of literature shows that the body of knowledge haven't so far established a robust theoretical framework that guide researchers from a holistic perspective on how inspiration is approached by researchers. This study aims to address a general question: how inspiration is approached by researchers? In seeking an answer to this simple question, the paper has two objectives: 1) to review how researchers in a specialised forum are approaching "inspiration", taking into account the available literature review ; 2) to develop recommendations about the case study research that would contribute mainly to society inspiration. Finally, we present a set of conclusions that enables a better understanding of inspiration approaches with the aim of enhancing future research focus in inspiration and inspiration economy that would enhance discussions as well as furthering knowledge on dealing with the subject.
