Abstract

Risk Management is an ongoing process based on a systematic collection and analysis of all relevant risks for a company. Aviation companies are particularly exposed to risks and must lay special emphasis on a comprehensive Risk Management. The quality of the Risk Management depends extremely on the enterprise culture; an efficient Risk Management starts at the level of the Board. In the operational area the Corporate Risk Management may be complemented and optimized by an integrated Safety Management System. For aviation companies it is recommended to consider a D&O-Insurance.
