Abstract

In the previous chapter, we considered the role that an organization’s training and development programs play in both the success of individual employees and in the resulting success of their organizations. Experience has shown that devoting the necessary time, effort, and resources to both of these essential activities can pay dividends in terms of the preparedness of employees to enact their respective roles and responsibilities effectively and efficiently thus contributing to the overall success and outcomes of not only their organizational unit, but also the overall organization.
