Primary Stakeholder Groups

Abstract

Although there are typically a number of stakeholder groups that have expectations for an organization, three primary groups are usually considered the most important stakeholder groups. When organizations and their leaders are formulating strategies in response to stakeholder expectations, the stakeholder groups that are considered the most important are customers, employees, and owners. Our focus in this book will be on understanding and addressing the expectations of two of these primary stakeholder groups—employees and customers.
