Abstract

A distinct element of investment banks is the high pay employees receive and a significant level of responsibility given to employees with often limited experience. On the other hand, investment banks expect employees to work long hours and complete many tasks in short periods of time under often severe pressure, and employees that are not performing well enough in this environment are often facing redundancy.
