Abstract

Operation management and supply chain are main daily operations in family business, which every moment adds value to an organizational performance. Having a stable and best choice of suppliers/distributors/retailers is one of the keys to sustaining the business and firm’s competitive advantage. The chapter proposes sustainable values in operations supply chain management in family business through the social, environmental, and economic impact of family business activities. The chapter overviews the nature of the operations and supply management in family businesses, proposes paths to gain a stable and sustainable supply chain for family businesses using the triple-bottom approach. The chapter is followed by a case study.
