Abstract

Innset summarizes the second week’s discussions on issues such as the power of trade unionsTrade unions , countercyclical policies, agricultureAgriculture and poverty. The discussions show that in spite of wanting to use the state to create a modern social orderOrder , the early neoliberals were in no way social liberals. The majority of attendees were placed squarely on the political right, and the few more centrist attendees disappeared from the organization shortly after 1947. Innset also summarizes the discussions surrounding a statement of aims and a naming of the society and provides data on numbers of interventions and average speaking time for the different attendees.
