Abstract

The demands for different workforce are rising to fulfill the expectations of green economy development and resulting in different strategies of cultivating green human resources. Although the definitions of green jobs are not clear and they are more depending on the policies and programs that governments adopt or promote, the awareness of green jobs is well recognized as an important element of green economy. How to prepare the green work force is one of the issues for governments to face. For many cases it is required by regulations to set up green jobs based of different formats of law. In addition to green jobs or green employment, innovative green business models are another subject that need more investigation and experiments to facilitate the deployment of green products and services for sustainability. Since the environmental and social values of business are not easy to identify or quantify, only looking at economic values will hinder the process of achieving green economy since many of green activities are not profitable enough to attract investment but need more mechanisms to leverage the costs and benefits of adopting green products and services. After all, all innovative strategies and green employment are all meant to lead the direction to sustainable development and green economy.
