Abstract

The book is intended to introduce the concepts of Green Science and Technology to implement the main task-forces including (1) “Future We Want” outcome document, (2) sustainable development goals (SDGs), (3) high-level political forum on sustainable development, (4) civil society participation and commitments, and (5) green economy, as proposed by the “Rio +20 Summit”. It covers three parts, (1) socio-economic science, (2) environmental science and technology, and (3) development of green technology and each consisting of five to six chapters. The book also features innovative technology and integrated management pervasively adopted worldwide and several well known case studies.
