Factors Affecting E-Commerce Applications in Small and Medium Enterprises in Vietnam

Abstract

The study examines the impact of business compatibility on e-commerce applications in small and medium enterprises in Vietnam. Quatitative analysis is conducted with selected variables such as awareness of the benefits of e-commerce for businesses, government support, compatibility, cost, and enterprise e-commerce applications. The responses of small and large enterprises in Vietnam are obtained. The study findings show that solutions and recommendations are considered to enhance SMEs’ ability to adopt e-commerce in Vietnam. For businesses, proactive learning about e-commerce, minimizing implementation costs, and seeking appropriate government support are emphasized, others are completing the legal framework for e-commerce with a focus on SMEs, designing and monitoring incentives and subsidies, promoting e-commerce skills among businesses of all sizes, and developing infrastructure to support logistics needs. Initiatives such as e-commerce fairs and educational programs are suggested to improve consumer knowledge and participation in e-commerce.
