Abstract

Generally, the term “career” arises in formal or professional settings and gives the impression of greater, long-term work in one’s field, beyond a single job. Where a job indicates the person’s role and title at an organisation at a point in time, a career is often associated with one’s field, path and growth which is a compilation of the various works undertaken as well as job positions held across different firms over time, rendering the experiences of both work and job as ingredients that constitute a career.
