Abstract

This chapter provides a comprehensive review of previous studies and literature related to the research questions and hypotheses. It is organized into eight sections, focusing on key components: R&D, organizational effectiveness, knowledge management, transformational leadership, organizational culture, organizational strategy, technology and HRD. The literature review begins with an exploration of R&D theories and the role of R&D organizations in advancing knowledge and innovation. It then examines three organizational outcomes: organizational effectiveness, effective knowledge management and effective transformational leadership. The review also delves into four key organizational factors (organizational culture, strategy, technology and HRD) discussing their definitions, impacts and interrelationships. Finally, the chapter explicates how these variables interact to influence organizational performance, providing a solid theoretical foundation for the study.
