Abstract

This chapter examines the transformative potential of emerging technologies in revolutionizing Vietnam's freight logistics sector. It provides a comprehensive overview of the sector's evolution, current challenges, and the impact of technologies such as autonomous vehicles, blockchain for supply chain management, and electric-powered trucks. The discussion highlights the sector's critical role in Vietnam's economic integration into the global market, the infrastructural and regulatory hurdles it faces, and the opportunities presented by technological advancements for increased efficiency, safety, and sustainability. The chapter concludes with strategic insights and recommendations for stakeholders, emphasizing the importance of infrastructure investment, workforce development, and regulatory support to fully realize the benefits of these technologies in enhancing Vietnam's freight logistics sector.
