Abstract

Agribusiness is a critical and traditional component of all economies, significantly contributing to their development. Analyzing the diverse and dynamic agribusiness trade and market in emerging markets provides valuable insights into the factors driving agribusiness as well as the challenges and opportunities within the sector. This chapter adopts a qualitative approach using a systematic approach that includes a literature review and case studies on trade and market dynamics of agribusiness in selected countries and regions in emerging markets. The analysis shows that while the agricultural industry faces challenges that hinder growth in some regions, there are also significant opportunities for expansion and development. These results suggest that policymakers, practitioners, and other key stakeholders in emerging markets should use these market insights to increase the influence of agribusiness on their countries’ economic performance.
