Abstract

As food production currently dealing with incredible challenges as the human population grows, maintaining the cleanliness of resources, quality, and sustainability of food is a more cooperative effort resulting in development support from governments as well as enterprises. Value addition in the supply chain of foods is very wide where various steps can be involved, and each step adds its way of value addition like farmers, suppliers, processors, distribution, and retailers. The differentiation in food product variety and over time value addition dramatically altered the price value of food products from farm value to retail value. Based on the structure as strategies many models spring up namely; the vertically integrated model, contract farming model, cooperative model, small-scale farming model, large-scale farming model, contract farming model, export-oriented model, organic farming model, enterprise combination model, integrated farming model, value-added processing model, franchise model, agric-tech-driven model, speciality farming model, cooperative farming model, input supplies model in enhancing productivity and job creation.
