Abstract

Capacity building is significant for women entrepreneurs. However, the appreciation of the problem of capacity building is low, and there is a lack of realistic funding and support for the same. There is minimal research into women entrepreneurs’ key motivating factors, success factors and issues, resulting in a strategic gap in developing policies and activities to support the dynamic women entrepreneurial community’s capacity building. The need for new venture formation is a vital idea for a continuous economic growth process. It is also imperative that the research in this field should answer what motivated these women to become entrepreneurs, what obstacles they faced and what factors contributed to their success. This study tackles three crucial variables that impact women’s entrepreneurial capacity: women entrepreneurs’ motivating factors, obstacles they experience and success factors by looking at their entrepreneurial propensity. By having a better knowledge of these characteristics, more effective policies and initiatives for women entrepreneurs may be devised, helping to close the gender gap in entrepreneurship.
