Abstract

Sounds familiar? Galileo GalileiGalileo Galilei, who supported the heliocentric model against the geocentric view of the timeTIME, vainly tried to say this to the people who decided not to listen to him. Do you know what Galileo and today's parents have in common? Just as Galileo struggled to convince a disbelieving public, modern parents often face their own uphill battle in persuading their teens with the similar parenting anthem—“The world doesn't revolve around you!” In Galileo's case, he was the one brandishing the scientific fact, not the other party.
