Abstract

The global COVID-19 pandemic has spurred a significant transformation in the Batik Lasem industry, renowned for its cultural significance. Faced with unprecedented challenges, the industry strategically pivoted towards online shops as a vital survival strategy. This abstract aims to the emergence of the Batik Lasem Online Shop, highlighting its pivotal role in revitalizing the market and connecting with a broader, digitally-oriented consumer base. E-commerce plays a central role in expanding the reach of the Batik Lasem Online Shop globally, fostering a renewed appreciation for this traditional Indonesian art form. The study examines how artists and businesses adapted to digital marketplaces, stressing technical integration and user-friendly interfaces for seamless online purchase. Innovative marketing strategies further enhance customer engagement and brand loyalty. The socio-economic impact of the Batik Lasem Online Shop on the local community is explored, emphasizing its role in preserving cultural heritage, providing sustainable livelihoods for artisans, and contributing to the economic resilience of the region. In conclusion, the Batik Lasem Online Shop exemplifies the adaptability of traditional industries by embracing the digital landscape, not only navigating the pandemic successfully but also establishing a foundation for sustained growth and global recognition.
