Abstract

Zusammenfassung Es wird behauptet, dass die heutige Weltwirtschaft und der globale Kapitalismus vom Finanzkapital im Unterschied zum industriellen Kapital geprägt sind. Dieses Papier ist ein Versuch, die Bedeutung des Finanzkapitals im gegenwärtigen Kontext der Globalisierung und auch im Hinblick auf die Beziehung zu dem, was heute als Finanzialisierung bekannt ist, zu entschlüsseln. Schließlich haben wir versucht, anhand einiger empirischer Fakten (in Bezug auf die Weltwirtschaft im Allgemeinen und die indische Wirtschaft im Besonderen) eine Verbindung zwischen Theorie und Empirie herzustellen. Der letzte Punkt, den dieses Papier hervorheben möchte, ist die Tatsache, dass die Frage der Finanzen heute niemals von der Frage der Arbeit abgekoppelt werden kann. Dies wird aus der theoretischen Perspektive des Kapitals im Allgemeinen deutlich, wie sie in Marx’ Hauptwerk „Das Kapital“ niedergelegt ist.
