Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die Mobilisierung von Netzwerken ist ein wesentliches Problem in Plattformunternehmen. Ein einzigartiges Problem bei Plattformen besteht darin, dass bei Vorhandensein von Netzwerkeffekten niemand beitritt, wenn nicht jeder beitritt. Dies stellt eine große Herausforderung für die Mobilisierung des Netzwerks auf beiden Seiten dar. Wenn das Netzwerk erst einmal aufgebaut ist, ist eine Vergrößerung einfach und mit wenig Kosten/Aufwand verbunden. In diesem Kapitel werden die Optionen erläutert, die Plattformunternehmen zur Verfügung stehen, um ihr Netzwerk zu mobilisieren und das „Pinguin-Problem“ zu lösen.
