Abstract

The digital revolution has become a key component of society’s transformation. Its dynamics and threats are expected to play a significant role in implementing this change. The emergence of the Internet of Everything (IoE) is expected to transform how people live and work. This chapter aims to develop a framework to help organizations understand how the IoE will affect their operations. The digital revolution is the most significant change that we need to make to achieve the Sustainable Development goals. It requires a comprehensive approach to implement and sustain its effects. The emergence of new ideas and solutions can be disruptive but should be handled with caution. This chapter also explores the various conditions needed to implement the digital revolution successfully. The authors analyzed the current state of the digital revolution’s implementation in different sectors and their long-term sustainability goals.
