Abstract

Zusammenfassung In den 2010er-Jahren wurde China zu einem wichtigen Investor in Brasilien, insbesondere im Bereich der elektrischen Energie. In diesem Kapitel wird erörtert, wie chinesische Direktinvestitionen in der brasilianischen Wirtschaft verteilt sind und wie chinesische Unternehmen gelernt haben, sich anzupassen und im Land zu konkurrieren, indem sie im komplexen brasilianischen Rechtsrahmen agieren. Das Kapitel befasst sich auch mit den brasilianischen Investitionen in China, die zwar in viel geringerem Umfang erfolgen, aber für den Internationalisierungsprozess der brasilianischen Unternehmen wichtig sind. Im letzten Abschnitt wird die Rolle der Kultur in den Wirtschaftsbeziehungen zwischen beiden Ländern erörtert. Dabei wird argumentiert, dass sie dazu beiträgt, den Mangel an gegenseitigem Wissen zu verringern.
