Abstract

Zusammenfassung Mit diesem Kapitel beginnt das Buch mit einer allgemeinen Einführung in das digitale Ökosystem in China. Da es kein Google, Facebook oder Netflix gibt, werde ich stattdessen die wichtigen Äquivalente hervorheben. Beschrieben werden die Gründung von Alibaba, die Entwicklung des B2B-, C2C- und B2C-Geschäfts sowie die Plattform und der Aufbau eines Tmall-Geschäfts. Darüber hinaus werden dem Leser die anderen wichtigen Internetakteure in China vorgestellt, darunter die Apps von Tencent und ByteDance. Schließlich wird auf das Gesetz eingegangen, das kürzlich im Jahr 2021 verabschiedet wurde, um den „Walled Garden“ zwischen den Apps aufzubrechen und den Weg für die Interoperabilität des Internet-Ökosystems in China zu ebnen.
